Week 3
Week 3

1. Get the family involved
Keeping the kids involved will keep them excited about the move. Have children clean out their school and gym lockers. It's time to return any library books they found. Have them gather and return items borrowed between friends.
It's also a good time to pick up any items you may have at the dry cleaners or items out for repair. Gather all your belongings that are not currently at your home. Maybe your neighbour borrowed your weed wacker, or your sister has your suitcases.
2. Automobile details
Take the time to prepare your automobile registration transfer if required. Visit your Auto Brocker to find out what you will need. Change your driver's license information
You may be planning to transport your vehicle rather than drive it yourself. The mover that will be moving your home may also transport vehicles. If they do not do it themselves, they may have an association with a transport company. Many times they can help you with these arrangements.
3. Important details
If you are moving to or from an apartment, you may require the use of an elevator. Be sure to arrange for the elevator key for the date and time of your move.
Call your church or selected charity and arrange to have them pick up your donations of household items, clothing and plants.
Collect all your valuable items from the house. You should transport these items yourself. Pack them carefully and labels the box as “Do not load on truck”. Have a designated area for keeping your self transported items. This will avoid confusion on moving day.
