Rates

Many factors go into calculating an honest estimate for your moving costs.

  • Size of truck and volume of goods to be moved
  • Distance from door to truck
  • Traveling distance
  • Whether heavier items like appliances, pianos or safes are also being moved
  • Time required to disconnect/reconnect appliances and disassemble/reassemble furniture
  • Packing time (if required)
  • Man hours required to complete the move
  • Other specialized services required
  • Rain and or snow can slow a move down substantially

Having said that here is a general guideline for our rate structure based on what you are moving out of: FALL RATES IN EFFECT STARTING SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2011:

  • Studio Truck: 1-Ton Hourly Rate: $98 Men: 2
  • 1-BedroomTruck: 1-Ton Hourly Rate: $98 Men: 2
  • Small 2 Bedroom Truck: 1-Ton Hourly Rate: $98 Men: 2
  • Large 2-Bedroom Truck: 5-Ton Hourly Rate: $119 Men: 2
  • 3-Bedroom Apt. Truck: 5-Ton Hourly Rate: $149 Men: 3
  • 3-Bedroom T/H Truck: 5-Ton Hourly Rate: $149 Men: 3
  • 3-Bedroom House Truck: 5-Ton Hourly Rate: $179 Men: 4
  • 4+ Bedroom House Truck: 5-Ton Hourly Rate: $179 Men: 4
  • One Time Travel & Fuel Surcharge: 1-Ton Truck-Applicable Hourly Rate 5-Ton Truck-Applicable Hourly Rate

Additional men are charged at $39.00 per man. For 3 bedroom homes we recommend 3 men. For homes with 4+ bedrooms we recommend 4+ men.

In some cases, we may indeed be cheaper than the lowest bidder and in some cases, we can be more. We are professional movers, pay our employees what professional movers expect to make, use only clean, properly serviced equipment, and are licensed, insured, WorkSafe BC covered, and a BBB member. This added protection for you is expensive for us, but we feel our customers are worth it.

The only way we can make an accurate quote for you, is by understanding what you need done: the packing supplies you will need, services you will require, quantity and weight of items to be moved, number of people it will require, trucks and equipment that will be required, and any other special considerations specific to your move. From this information and years of experience as Vancouver movers, we will be able to make an accurate assessment of your total cost for the move. You will know what you can expect to pay. You won't have to wait till moving day to discover what you are being charged.
