Dishware

The techniques used to pack dishes, plates and bowls similar and straignt forward. When properly wrapped and packed, you dishware will be safely transported to your new home.

1. Line the bottom of your box or dish pack with crumpled paper.
2. Place packing paper flat on the work table.
3. Put one plate in the center of the packing paper.
4. Take the corner of a few sheets and pull over the plate to cover it completely.
5. Place a second plate on top and turn stack ¼ turn clockwise. Take the corner of a few sheets and pull over the second plate to cover it completely.
6. Place a third plate on top and turn stack ¼ turn clockwise. Take the corner of a few sheets and pull over the second plate to cover it completely.

   Note: smaller or non-fragile plates can be stacked in larger quantities.

7. Turn the stack of wrapped plates upside down onto your packing paper.
8. Using a few sheets, re-wrap your stack of plates using the same technique.
9. Seal the bundle with packing tape.
10. Place in box so that your stack is standing on it’s edge.
11. Fill and gaps in the box with crushed paper
12. Close and seal the box
