Computers and Related Equipment — Be sure you back-up your hard drive before packing.

Pack in original boxes when available.
When original packaging is not available, do the following:

1. Use strong, corrugated boxes.
2. Place protective padding, blanket or crushed paper on the bottom of the box.
3. Tape pieces of paper together to create a sheet large enough to wrap the item.
4. Wrap item and fasten with tape.
5. Fold the ends and fasten with tape.
6. Place in box.
7. Repeat for the next item.
8. Place in box with some distance between the items.
9. Pack the box with ample crushed paper or padding to prevent the items from touching.
10. Wrap cords separately, label them to identify usage and put between the padded equipment and the box.
11. Cover with crushed paper.
12. Close and seal the box.
13. Put a Fragile label on the box
